Education

Experience has it that poverty rates decrease significantly when education levels rise, which has not been the case of South Sudan, due to persistent wars that persisted for over 2 decades did not create an enabling environment for people to go to school un hindered and hence high rates of illiteracy levels. To fill this gap, it would be very prudent for YCDO to mobilize funds from donors, so as to provide for resources required to achieve education for all and to close the huge gender gap in enrolment and achievement.
This will go a long way in helping about million school age children still out of school, and the number growing daily due the continued influx of returnees, this requires huge funding and material support to build schools, train more teachers and deliver basic school supplies and text books plus putting in place the school feeding programme.
