Peace Building

YCDO is keen on building peace building structures in its areas of operations. It is YCDO belief that peace is the foundation for all the development activities especially in South Sudan, more so in areas that have suffered from war for many years. It is in this regard that YCDO would wish to initiate peace building programs mainly in:

• Nyirol,
• Tombura,
• Rumbek,
• Magwi,
• GPAA and Akobo West.,
• Fangak,
• Duk and Ayod the mention counties,

killing is so more rampant because of revenge and We want to extended same to POCs camps where many South Sudanese refugees estimated at over 1 00,000 are camping while leaving the studies because of domestic violence. YCDO intends to have an approach targeting those leaving in the Protection camps who are purportedly enemies back home through organizing of peace tournament’s where sporting activities involving all the warring factions can be pitted against one another in sports like:

• football,
• basketball,
• net ball,
• athletics

and the likes with a key message of preaching peace. This kind of approach is likely to go a long way in trauma healing and reconciliation for those at the camps. This prepares them in anticipation of returning back home when normalcy returns.school supplies and text books plus putting in place the school feeding programme.
